Can't wait for Season 2!

Great production and amazing casting! The music selection is also outstanding. Added all songs to my playlist. All actors did an amazing job, and I had a great experience watching the show. Love the female perspective of the show so much. Well done, everyone, and please release Season 2 as soon as possible please!

Read the Books, Eagerly Waited for the Show, Utterly Happy with the results

This show really harkens back to dramas from the mid 2000s. A beautiful cast, amazing soundtrack and a well rounded story. The vibes of found family, humor, friendship, angst, drama and romance was much appreciated. My only complaint is that I wish the season was longer. 8 episodes is not enough for such a great cast of characters.

Enjoyed the Garrett and Hannah romance. They were very sweet. More importantly I loved how the show handled the back story of their traumas with great care without it being heavy handed. Especially the conversation Hannah had with her mother and Allie. Those scenes were particularly comforting and so important to be shown on tv.

Allie Hayes probably my favorite character from the season. From her support of Hannah to her messy relationship with her Ex, Dean and now a certain new man I was entranced every time she was on camera. The final scene sets up the next season to be centered around Dean and Allie and I hope that is the case. Their chemistry was explosive in the little that was shown. They truly captured my attention and their story looks very chaotic. In for the ride even with the changes from their book.

Watchable

Off Campus is one of the most entertaining romantic drama series released in 2026, blending college life, sports, friendship, and emotional relationships into a binge-worthy experience. Based on the bestselling book series by Elle Kennedy, the Prime Video adaptation follows the story of Hannah Wells, a talented music student, and Garrett Graham, the charming captain of Briar University's hockey team. What begins as a fake arrangement between two completely different personalities slowly turns into a heartfelt romance filled with vulnerability, humor, and emotional growth.

Great movie

The series also succeeds because of its balance between romance and friendship. Unlike many teen dramas that focus only on relationships, Off Campus explores loyalty, personal ambition, healing from trauma, and the importance of supportive friendships. Supporting characters like Allie, Logan, Dean, and Tucker add humor and emotional energy to the story. Many viewers have already become attached to these characters, especially because the show hints at future seasons focusing on different couples from the book series.

The show is stylish and modern. The university setting feels lively, and the hockey scenes bring excitement to the story. The soundtrack also deserves praise because it enhances the emotional moments without becoming overwhelming. The music sequences connected to Hannah's character are particularly effective and help distinguish the show from other college romances. Critics have described the series as "fun," "addictive," and emotionally warm despite its familiar romantic tropes.

Watchable

One reason the series has attracted attention is its use of classic romance tropes like fake dating, opposites attract, and slow-burn chemistry. Even though these ideas are predictable, the writing keeps them engaging. The dialogue feels natural, and many scenes are genuinely funny and charming. Fans of romance dramas will appreciate the emotional tension between the leads, while casual viewers may enjoy the fast-paced storytelling and attractive cast.

Top class picture

Off Campus is a highly enjoyable romantic drama that successfully combines humor, emotion, sports, and chemistry. While it may not reinvent the genre, it delivers exactly what fans of modern romance series want: lovable characters, emotional storytelling, and addictive relationships. The series is entertaining, emotionally engaging, and easy to binge in one sitting. For viewers who enjoy college romance dramas with heart and charm, Off Campus is definitely worth watching.

It's fine if you're into this kind of thing

If you are a fan of formulaic romance you will probably love this. I imagine this hits extremely hard if you're 17. I found the characters to be exactly what you'd expect in an adaptation of romance series #68686262725377. It is certainly a better adaptation than a lot of the straight to streaming slop that gets churned out, but that is maybe not saying a lot.

It's very clear that the source material is one of many many examples of contemporary romance doing exactly the same tropes and I imagine many of the sins of the show are largely downstream of that. It's hard to avoid the comparison to Heated Rivalry which was a fascinating case of autor vision when adapting a slop romance book. It showed that you can make a genuinely good adaptation of abysmal source material.

In this show the acting is just shy of entirely serviceable, by no means awful, but not good enough to risk above the scripts which are pretty uninspired. The dialogue is the classic insipid teen romance fare you would expect and no one acts like a person because of course a man who acts like an actual hockey player is not an aspirational romantic partner. The perfunctory impediments to the various romances are easily and quickly overcome. In general the characters have no chemistry and their individual personalities aren't really supported by the text. It's a lot of alleging that she's a gifted musician while she sings songs that of course sound like you asked a television writers room to come up with a pop song. He's allegedly the best to ever do it at hockey, sure I guess.

If the premise of a lukewarm romance between two people who are technically attractive if utterly devoid of charisma sounds appealing give it a shot. You might like the portrayal of sensitive hockey bros who cook and cry and live in the worlds cleanest frat house.

Not buying this.

How do they expect us to believe that many hockey players are straight. We've all see the heated truth about hockey. I prefer my rom com to have some reality to them. The cast is doing its best to work with the material, but it's very apparent even they believe that Garrett would fake dating her just to actually date her.

Boring. Lazy. Sloppy.

This show sucked so hard I wanted to die. Why was there so many stories going on? Why was Allie and Dean story even in this season? They ruined it for me. They should've focused on only Hannah and Garret. There was a lot of boring scenes and why did they reply the same moments from their past? I wished I never picked this up.

My first DNF :)

How did the people who read the books first even like this?! That is my only question. The scenes which i felt really built their chemistry were cut off and absolute unnecessary garbage scenes took their place. And oh my god what was up with the intimate and naked scenes? Just disgusting atp.

DNF after 5th ep.

Perfectly normal watch

To preface: I am NOT a hockey romance fan and i haven't read the books, I also watched it all in one night so i didn't take a break to process in between episodes. That being said it actually wasn't a hard watch. It was a bit predictable, at some points it was cringy but overall a very normal, decent watch. I also loved Hannah's voice, Ella Bright should do audiobooks.

Cliche...final boss and people are hyping up for no reason...

First of all this was the most stupidest mid plots Ive seen in my life which was so hyped up.. Garrette looks old then those who are shouting that it was green flag everyone was good... so what do you have to say about Hannah asking for O so she can be ready for the person she loves.... ? Is this normal ? Make it make sense...

Horrible writing

The characters are cliche and make lots of weird decisions that make no sense. Ofc the main characters have a sad backstory. That's kind of it for their personality as well. If you wanna watch this movie then maybe as a comedy. The plot, character and cliches are definitely laughable. All in all the show is a big disappointment especially considering how good the ratings are. I normally don't mind a low quality romance with lots of cliche, but this show really crosses the line of stupidity.

Okay show

The casting of the main characters (Garett & Hannah) were good. They fit the character perfect. Allie was a great casting and style tooo. However, there are some casting that just don't fit the part such as Jules Jordan. For starters that just so unrealstic, she looks nothing like Logan, also who would let their little sister hang around and gossip just seems unrealistic. The character/actress just felt so forced. Also, why did the costume team dress her like that, Jules is my only complaint. All other casting was decent.

Another casting I wasn't a fan of, Joanna Maxwell. Terrible casting for both these characters.

First few episodes were GREAT, episode 5 was okay nothing great. Then episode 6+ started getting good.

Some scenes felt cliche, forced.

The acting was lacking.

There were so many scenes that felt forced and the acting felt immature with fmc. The scenes themselves felt so cheesy and could have been been portrayed so much better. I believe that was a director issue. Im hoping season 2 will feel more natural. I also like those 2 characters and their acting so much more.

How it got rating 8?

The scenes are weirdly cut. Post-production work was done poorly. In addition, this fisheye lens on most of the shots.

Plot is empty. But overall it doesn't give you any details of characters or their past. Just random flashbacks and you need to guess what it even means.

Actors are mostly playing with pokerface (apart of Allie and John).

Not sure where the hype came from, but you can find more watchable romance tv shows.

The Characters Sound Like They're Speaking in Their Heads

I wanted to enjoy this show, but the audio kept pulling me out of the story. The dialogue sounds like the actors are talking in their heads rather than actually speaking in the scene. The voices feel disconnected from the environment, and the lip sync often seems slightly off. Because of that, I couldn't connect with the characters or their chemistry, even though the premise had potential.

NOT an adaptation

This book to show adaptation is equivalent to Lacroix; bubbly with a hint of flavor but just full of disappointment. It was so far from an adaptation and didn't do the books justice at all. So many major changes to both characters and story lines. The acting by some of the cast was so stiff and instantly took me out of the scene.

Also, gratuitous boob and penis shots. So tired of seeing unnecessary nudity for shock value.

Another american student cringe show.

I have watched multiple high school / college shows, so I had a rough idea of what all I was gonna see in it and had my expectations bare minimum and not something at the level of a show like sex education for example.

But even after that first few episodes were very much cringy(?).

Good one time watch show to binge watch while scrolling.

Stereotypes galore, formulaic nonsense. Meant for teenage girls

The title of my review says it all. Not much more to write about. But I must point out that many reviews are saying that the producers wanted to cash in on the Heated Rivalry success. Wrong. In fact, Off Campus was made before Heated Rivalry and it's release was postponed partially due to after effects of COVID.
