I love watching movie but have any written reviews before. But I have a feeling today that I must write this review. I walked into theatre today with my wife and saw all the families with their kids. I think to myself, this will be a good kids movie, kids will have a great time. Well, it is definitely not just a kid's movie, in fact the kid sitting next fell asleep midway. For me, it is just genuinely a great movie with simple but elegant storyline. Most importantly, this movie touched a part of my soul. I'm a grownup man now. I can't help but cry a little today during the movie. Looking at the kids around me. I'm around their age when I watched the first Toy Story movie. I can't help but think about the toys and friends I played with at their age. 10/10 great movie, and this review is tribute to childhood, to the toys and friends I parted on the way of life. Thank you all.

I am a 34 year old father to a 5 year old. I mention this as it is important for context.

I grew up with Toy Story, I had the VHS tapes, then DVDs, then a Disney+ subscription. As my daughter came into the world, I naturally introduced her to the world of Disney and of course, Toy Story. Woody and Buzz have been a staple of my life: the connection between 2 characters, facing and fighting evil, together, where friendship always wins.

The first 4 films are still relevant, emotional, and important in modern day society, and the 5th instalment is not a cash grab sequel, it is an extension of the story and aligns with today's challenges. Yes, there is agenda to it and Disney have not hidden that. But the agenda is right in my opinion. Technology has taken over our lives, and whilst it has its benefits, of course it does, but it does limit and take away some of the innocence and magic that can come from traditional and analog play time and story telling.

Toy Story 5 had me crying from the opening credits and I'm not afraid to say. The characters, the music, the editing, the filming, the pace, the story line, the message, and the delivery was just perfect for me.

It delivered exactly the message that I wish to pass on to my children. There is magic out there, don't be afraid to be yourself, and love will always conquer.

It may not mean anything to a casual viewer, but if you are in the age bracket I am in, with children the age that I have, this is a triumph and you will not be disappointed.

I created an IMDB account purely to deliver this review after reading some of the initial reviews which left me rather confused and rather angry.

10/10 for me, and would highly recommend. Just go see it, lose yourself in the magic, forget about life for a couple hours and remember what it is like to be a kid, because you blink and it's over.

Toy Story 5 was more than just a sequel. It reminded me of the joy, imagination, and wonder I felt as a child. The story was touching, funny, and full of heart. As an adult, it's easy to become focused on responsibilities and forget the simple happiness of seeing the world with curiosity. This movie helped me reconnect with my inner child and left me leaving the theater with a warm and grateful heart. A beautiful experience for both kids and ad.

Yesterday, I finally got the shot to check out Toy Story 5, the official 5th installment of the Toy Story franchise. It was absolutely a solid Toy Story flick, and gotta be honest, pretty much better than Toy Story 4, in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I did enjoyed Toy Story 4, it's still good, because every Toy Story films needs incredible stories about Toys who gets made, who thinks their trash, lol and also toys who were meant to be with their kids who was never alone or left behind, but always find a friend, and always keep their kids happy.

I still think Disney could've ended with Toy Story 3. That was a very good ending to the franchise. The very best ending of Toy Story legacy. But it is what it is.

Jessie's story was beautiful and emotional, and heartbreaking, and Toy vs Tech story was very solid and also funny to experience for the first time to understand what Toys are meant to be played with, and Tech is just attractive to kids or adults with many different devices.

This Toy Story flick is absolutely a Must See family movie of 2026, and Toy Story is always a love letter to the fans and to the world, especially the kids who loves playing with Toys or stick to devices. If you love the Toy Story franchise, this is the movie to watch for the whole family.

The people that put negative reviews wanted to hate it from the beginning, just because they don't feel it should exist. Can you honestly say every movie you like is 100% necessary? The logic doesn't make sense. It's a good fun movie. Has fun comedy and an emotional story, and brings some closure to storylines we didn't have before.

The bad reviews seem to be from adults who forget these movies aren't for them anymore lol. We took my little to see this as his first movie and he loved it! Our whole family did! Even grandpa who came along! It is still silly and light hearted while showing kids that devices can sometimes cause big emotions, without completely vilifying them. We laughed, I shed a tear and we all had fun! The littlest only complaint was not enough forky 😂

After the four previous installments there is really nothing bad you can say about the Toy Story franchise and Toy Story 5 is no different! While 3 is still my favorite this a very well done movie. They accomplish everything that makes Toy Story great. The story is moving and meaningful especially in today's society with kids and their phones/ipads. If you love the Jessie character you will definitely love this film because it's Jessie's movie. Like all the previous movies Buzz and Woody are great. The writing was well done and the jokes really worked especially with the new character Smarty Pants who when on screen stole the show. I am so glad Disney takes their time and doesn't rush this franchise out and in doing that we get movies like this that become movie events the whole family can enjoy. This is a must see!

The Faces For Radio score - 93.

It always a pleasure to see the gang again. This time they are fighting tech vs. Friendship and real life playing. I loved the message and all the funny references. I shed a tear when Jessie find the treasure at the tree. It was also an opportunity to dig into her back story and where she was coming from.

The upgrades on Buzz were also magnificent.

We're definitely attached to this group of toys and if there are more stories to tell in the future I will be in. To infinity and beyond !

This was an excellent kids animated movie. I think it was on point on how kids today don't understand how great it is to go outside and play. For them to use the most complex computer known to man, their mind. One reviewer said that technology is not to blame but parents are. I totally agree! I've seen plenty of 3 year old kids with their parents phone in hand playing some app. I believe that technology has a place in this world we live in and that children will more than enough time as adults to explore it. But as children limit their time to play station and xbox. Let them go outside play and most of all exercise. Let them develop the skills to create even more technology by using their imagination to play!

I really enjoyed the movie . Jessie character arc was emotional and well written,her and buzz make the movie more lovely and interesting. Even though woody was unnecessary but it's okay.screenplay was engaging, i liked bonnie more in this film compared to last one . One negative point will other than jessie and bonnie everyone felt like side characters. I think it's better than TS4.

This was a fantastic movie. I am a long time toy story fan along with everyone else. Thank you disney for not ruining this intellectual property. It was fantastic. I wouldn't change a thing. Everyone go see this.

It was awesome that all the same cast from the original movies came back for this one.

I went into this one with an open mind, I was worried that after 4 5 would fall off horribly but pixar nailed it again! This one was much more well done than 4 by a large mile. 3 will always be my favorite of the franchise but this one was different in a good way. I can understand some people not liking Woody being sidelined but it was definitely important for this movie. Buzz and Jessie were key stand outs in this movie. Jessie's character arc was so well handled. That being said there were things I would've like to see but didn't but for the finished product it was amazing! Some things I did miss would have been to hear you've got a friend in me at some point of the film but we didn't get that unfortunately. And I did miss the fact that the rest of the toys weren't really a part of the movie. But aside from those things it was wonderfully done! I have full confidence toy story 6 could be a full wrap for the entire story as a whole. I will say this is the only movie of the franchise I did not shed a tear but this movie is packed with gut punches.

The jokes sprinkled in for the adults were great! The story was great, and the intermixing of the Buzz story was entertaining. Loved the reveal towards the end, it was so hype! I loved that the message of the story was to find balance when using tech while being a kid, it's a lesson we should all learn.

It is a very good story, I liked it very much. The film offers ample entertainment from start to finish. It's also a highly emotional film and boasts a good soundtrack. And there were some scenes that brought tears to my eyes. The ending of the film was also very good but this ending was unexpected for me. There are some scenes in the film that you'll want to watch again and again. I loved Jessie's character the most, and the final wedding scene was truly hilarious. The film is worth watching with your family.

This was the 31st Disney Pixar movie that has now been released. I had the best time to be watching Toy Story 5 (June 19, 2026) for sure. I watched this in theaters today on June 20, 2026. It looked like there was a Lilypad taking over Bonnie's whole bedroom. I think the Lilypad was cute, but terrible in the first place. I think Jessie & Bullseye were together at another friend of Bonnie's home for a while before they came back to Bonnie at the end. I loved this 31st Disney Pixar movie, & when I watch this again, I will watch this on Disney+ with my mother.

After the dreadful disaster of TS4,The TStory saga is finally redeemed!!! Yep,They did it! They restored my love on all the toys! The story line was great, and talks about the reality of our days with the kids full thecks around them! Great lesson to all of us! I had a great time today in the movies! I was so sad after the last movie TS4 almost ruined my childhood, but now I'm in peace again! Hope you enjoy the TS5 movie as much as I did! And I can't wait for the TS6 to come!😍 Hiiiiiiyhaaaa!! 🐴🤠

I walked in expecting an unnecessary sequel and walked out with tears in my eyes. Pixar proves once again that these toys still have stories worth telling. The use of technology is brilliant, the animation is stunning, and Buzz and Jessie finally getting their happy ending felt so satisfying. Not quite the emotional devastation of Toy Story 3, but easily the second-best film in the franchise. A beautiful reminder that growing up doesn't mean letting go.

I went in thinking maybe they should have left Toy Story alone, but it actually worked better than I expected.

The story was really well written and had a good message with kids, toys and technology. It felt modern, but still had that Toy Story heart. Joan Cusack was excellent as Jessie and I liked that she had a bigger role this time. Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz are still great, and they bring that familiar feeling back straight away. Greta Lee was also really good as Lilypad and made the new tech side of the story work.

The movie looked amazing as well. The animation, colours and scenery were beautiful, and it had some really funny and emotional moments.

It is probably not the best Toy Story movie, and maybe it did not need to be made, but I still really enjoyed it. A lot better than I expected and definately worth watching.
